boat is ready

With the mild winter we are having I spent some time with the boat in the garage. I changed lower unit oil, and installed my new onboard charger. Since temps have been mild i heard there is open water below the dams on the mighty mississippi. I think I might try it next weekend.

People were ice fishing below Lynxville last week. Guttenburg is open to just above the city ramp, but it was full of floating ice in the eddies.

I should be doing the same. Drove on 16" of ice while fishing today. Plan to be on MO river in 2 months.

I got a report that it is open below Genoa (dam #8). With the power plant warm water discharge there should be alot of fishable water.
