This morning the auto shop guy came running in my shop asking me if I could help him out. He went to get papers out of a bin and this guy was curled up in it. He's not the big one which I had in here last year but he will keep the mice at bay. Plain old black snake or as some westerners call them Rat snake. These guys a very mild tempered, even pissed once you pick them up by the body they settle down. This guys tail was going like a rattler so he was upset but settled down fast. I don't care for the smell of snake on my hands , reason for the gloves.

Now for the female

She laid yesterday and came out of her hiding place. I picked her up and took her down to my house where we are having a rat problem because of all the rain they are coming up from the creek. So she will be well feed. I had to treat her with kid gloves, she was not very happy with me removing her.

Blacks are harmless, you just don't want to step on them in shorts or they will latch onto your leg. They have allot of little teeth.

ya well, I just returned from my house because the neighbors told my wife I dropped off a black snake and it was laying out in the back yard so I went and picked it up and took it to a friends farm and released her. This guy raises some big exotics snakes. He reached in the bucket and picked her.
My wife has a really bad phobia over snakes.
