Came in the mail today!

Idaho Fescue, Sherman Big Bluegrass, Rimrock Indian Ricegrass seed to plant next spring. The Indian Ricegrass is especially good for bird cover and food. If you are looking for native seed or seed mixes, checkout Great Basin Seed. They have a lot different varieties and a ton of helpful information on their website. 20241205_144814.jpg

I keep trying to get some Sainfoin from them going on my place but haven't had much luck. Seems like I pick the worst time to plant it each time I try.

We buy much of our reclamation seed from them.
You probably plant a lot of western wheatgrass. The farmer that leases my field in the Bighorn Basin, has raised western wheatgrass for seed the last 3 years. This year's seed crop was very good. 213 round bales of straw as well.20240909_070203.jpg

We do. Also crimp in WW stray on topsoil piles to control erosion. Might just be yours

Look it up. This looks like a good project to follow in 2025.

Cool beans!
I will be following that one.

Was asked to join Western Landowners Alliance. Small potatoes and large potatoes in the pot. Some good films from them.
