Black Bear

I got back in the saddle and started Black Bear, in the Aspens.
I don't know about you guys, but I found for me to stop messing with my last project: raccoon, I needed to get started on something. So here goe's
" Black Bear , Sit Pretty"

Next stoping off spot;
This one will be cool because of the bright light shinning on the leaves and dark shadows. You get a glimpse of this to the right of the Aspen.

Little by little . Painting mostly between Olympics events this past week. Now that I have the canvas covered I can start the detail.

I am just about done here. Made a big change. The stump was giving me a problem so I leafed it out. Now for a few more leaves and This is done.

Yesterday I received a email from a curator of the gaithersburgs art association after I sent her some pictures , the bear will be in this one. The curators reply::

Got them- they look great!

I will be back to you within the next few weeks to let you know where and when you will be exhibiting!
