My GF dragged me into an antique shop Sunday after a morning at the beach. I was surprised that the late brother of the proprietor had a mount of a Smoker Pronghorn on the wall. I discerned at the time of it being killed it WAS the #2 Pronghorn killed in Nevada as of 1987. Just above i in the book was one from 1986. Since then plenty more were killed. it was sitting tied for #98 in the B&C book I have.

Notice the MASS...How it is wider than the eye....

beauty speeder, round mass is hard to beat to get a speeder up there in the books. one of the best leads to monster antelope is having lost that oval shape, becoming more circular blows up that 1st base measurement!

Funny story....That mount was lost for 2 years after the B&C convention. Then the hunter got a call from a Freight Depot in South San Francisco when they found the crate with his Address on it.

A friend was telling me yesterday that goat horns tend to shrink a lot so you should score them on the 90th day from when they were taken.
