Big Bird Down.....

Another Montana Swan. Work took me near Freezout today and I hit the swan migration pretty good., The wind was blowing about 40 mph today and it took a couple set ups before I put myself in a position to ambush some incomers.... Took me about an hour and a half to seal the deal. One shot of 3 1/2" #2's had this bird stone dead before it hit the water.

It really is kind of a neat opportunity to hunt these big birds every couple years when I can draw a tag, and I look forward to the next one.

Not sure what they actually weigh, but it was plenty heavy, hoofing it through the swamp the half mile back to the truck.

Thinking this one is destined for some jerky marinade tomorrow. I will let you know how it turns out.
