Better Late Than Never

Finally getting around to posting some pictures. Had a great spring this year chasing turkeys and antlers. Killed the jake opening morning of the season after about 2 hours of cat and mouse games, they came out at about 30 yards and I messed up and shot the wrong one.

Next weekend I headed back and shot the bigger bird about 5 minutes after fly down.. Heard him gobbling a long ways off right before light and I made a mad dash to get in his area. Hit the call as soon as I sat down and he came in on a string gobbling the whole way. Such a rush when it works out that way.

Just went and checked my trail camera that's been in me LE elk unit this year, no takers but at least I have a productive area found!

Looking forward to a great fall with 2 elk tags, antelope buck tags for MT & WY, and 2 deer tags as well. Should keep me busy..

Nice pics! You will indeed be busy. I have shot so many turkeys around here, that I have pretty well quit hunting them. I will be killing a few deer and a Nebraska buck antelope this fall, but won't be returning to Wyoming. My freezer is full already, due to depredation deer permits that I fill for my neighbor.
