Bears Paw Mtns Mule Deer Insight

Looking to get some information from anybody that hunts public ground around the area. I have a few questions and would like some insight from someone who has been around for years past. I am not looking for a spot, but rather have a trip planned and would like to know a few small things before going in.

There's not much public up there and it's not someplace I'd hunt. I think I'd try to get on one of the few block management units or start knocking on doors
