I want to kill a color phase, anybody want to help me out?? You can come hunt anything in Iowa!!

Here in Western MT we have a ton of bears, 50% of which are not black. Blondes and cinnamons are common. I've already done a TON of Iowa hunting, but sure do miss those trout streams (sounds weird coming from a guy in MT, but it's true).

Go West for the color phase! I shot mine in Idaho and I think the majority of the bears shot there aren't black.

Here is my best scoring bear. Made B&C Awards book at 20 13/16. Not many Oregon bears ever will. Got lucky!

My 2012 Spring Bear. Had a broken lower jaw (on both sides) at some point in his life but he was still fat and happy....until he met my old 30-30.

Here he is while I was closing the gap to 60 yards....

Biggest bodied bear. A FOR SURE 400 pound bear.
