Bad thing?

When I see parents screaming threat filled rants at PTA meetings the first thing that comes to mind is damn, I hope these completely rational and sane parents are heavily arming what are sure to be just precious well adjusted offspring.

It’s not a gun problem, it’s a parenting problem. I grew up in a family of gun nuts because my great grandmother fled Germany in the 1930’s and instilled in her children how important it was to be able to defend yourself against such things. Blaming the AR platform for school shootings is like blaming knives for Jeffrey Dahmer eating people. I grew up with and had access to more guns than our entire sheriffs department and the adjoining counties had. It was drilled into my head that were not toys, and if I treated them like toys I would not be allowed to use them.The fact is people need to raise their kids in a responsible manner and if their kid is struggling they need to seek help. Society is headed down the tube. You can ban guns, ban cars, ban knives, it doesn’t matter. People that want to do bad things will do bad things. I mean we have laws against rape but Hollywood pushes movies with nothing but sex and the porn industry is booming. So I guess if we wanna start banning all bad things then we do it across the board. We can all work from home and have a government official tell us what to eat and what to be entertained with and we will all live long peaceful lives………….


This whole blame everything but the real problem is insanity. Good thing Timmothy McVeigh didn’t have guns……..

We should ban airliners too because they took down the twin towers.


Do I like the shock marketing? No. Do I think it’s a problem for a kid to learn how to shoot any type of firearm? No. Do I like that adult goobers get guns and act like fools and don’t teach their kids the responsibility of owning and using a firearm? No. But just because a person is a bad driver because their dad never took the time to show them how to drive should we ban them from driving? I guess according to some on here yes.

Nothing will ever entirely stop crazy people. It's about mitigating the damage they can do by making it harder to access weapons of mass destruction.

That’s about the goofiest thing I’ve ever heard……… what exactly is a weapon of mass destruction? A rifle? A pistol? An AR? How about a minivan with 55 gallon drums full of gas driven into an apartment building?

I guess we should ban crazy people, but it seems now we are just making them more mainstream. That’ll help.

I was talking to a lady from London the other day. Stabbings are rampant over there. Hard to blame that on the old black rifle. Seems like a hate problem. Teach your kids it's not ok to take someone else's life. They're not the god of their own universe. Pretty simple

Duh that’s why you need to carry one also, here in USA anyway. I shoot enough rounds that there is no way some angry Karen is going to hit me before I put the whole magazine through her vitals. Merica!

The marketing is definitely in bad taste. I did a lot of shooting with my dad’s AR as a kid, and they’re great rifles for a kid to learn on.

The marketing is definitely in bad taste. I did a lot of shooting with my dad’s AR as a kid, and they’re great rifles for a kid to learn on.

Perfect to learn on. Adjustable stock, no recoil, accurate, cheap ammo readily available (well you know what I mean on that last one)

That’s precisely why you shouldn’t carry a concealed weapon. That mentality. I guess I should have unloaded my Glock 32 into that car of teens that drove off from the gas pump without paying and almost ran me over a couple years ago. I knew it was gonna happen by the way they were acting. I just walked in told the clerk and she called the cops.


I guess if your ever in a situation where you need someone with a gun in your side I hope they are there and responsible enough to know how to use it properly. But by all means keep up the generalizations. They’re funny.
