Rain made me stay home this weekend, so I went through some backpacking pics from a couple weeks ago.

Few hours packing in the rain. Set up the tent in the rain and woke up to this in the morning.

Stuck at the lake all day, but it was starting to improve.

Fishing was slow, but we picked up a few cutts.

Hit the trail again and GuNR was ready to go. I made him wait at the top until I was done coming down.

When he sees a rock and me reaching for the camera, he knows it is time to pose.

GuNR scouting for trout.

Looks like a good place to set up camp.

GuNR got to use my piece of crap z-pad this year.

Note the shrubs just to the left of my tent. I had two mountain goats working them in the middle of the night. Weather and moon light was perfect, so I just unzipped my tent and watched them from my sleeping bag from 5 to 10 yards. The watch dog was worthless.

Earlier in the trip this guy was checking out my fishing equipment.

He needed a hair cut.

mtmiller - your pics are always top notch, looks amazing. Don't ever stop posting your pics!

Wow those pics are amazing. Thanks for sharing. What Mtn range were you in if you dont' mind me asking.

Thanks guys. This was my forth year in a row to the Beartooth-Absaroka Wilderness in this area.

Outstanding... I really look forward to these every year.

I think you've taken the same picture before, but something about that creek Gunr is crossing really catches my eye. It looks like it's flowing off the top of the mountain, and just too big for that high elevation. Is there a lake in that basin?

Great pictures. One of these years I will run into you up in the great country.

Wow. It looks like you had an awesome trip. It is nice having your amazing pictures to look at while I am stuck here behind a desk!

We used to pack in for the early season elk hunt in that area. These pictures brought back some nice memories. What is the name of this lake u are fishing. I have fished, Hidden, peace, horseshoe, carpenter, just to name a few. Once again thanks for sharing.

Does GuNR realize he is a star? He always looks at the camera. Always, enjoy your pics!

EB, I was about 20 miles from the lakes you mentioned.

BD, he ony looks at the camera when I throw the rock accurately.:D

It worth the wait to see your annual August trip to the A-B lakes and see the great pics you always have.

If I didn't know any better I would think that pic with you and GuNR was in front of a manufactured backdrop. Almost looks too perfect. Great pics, man!!!
