Arizona Hunters Who Care will be puttin this on. Not sure how many non-residents will be there? I do believe Roy Grace "BOHNTR" from CA will be helping out.

Arizona Hunters Who Care:

Trash Pickup Day
March 5th, 2005

The Arizona Hunters Who Care Trash pickup Day is right around the
corner.
This year we are expecting a record turnout of over 200 people. This
is
going to be a great event. This year we are going to be raffling off 3
rifles and other hunting prizes to people who attend. Also Lunch is
included when you show up. This is a great event to bring the kids
down to.
There will be G&F officers on hand to answer any of your hunting
questions
as well as representatives from other law enforcement and wildlife
agencies.
This is a great oppurtunity to meet other hunters, and to do your
part to
help out the wildlife in Arizona.

Just show up by 8:00am at the intersection of hwy 286 and Arivaca road,
on
March 5th.

Special Thanks to the Arizona Deer Association and the SCI Tucson
Chapter
for the rifles, and food.

Any questions, or if you have anything to donate, please e-mail me at
[email protected]

thanks, Lance

Wish I could help. I work Saturdays. It sounds like a great time and a good way to meet new hunters!

John you should contact Lance by email and get on the "Arizona Hunters Who Care" emailing list. He does a good job of keeping you updated on the AZ wildlife front....

They need to start this one in Texas...
When we were down there looking for shuttle parts a couple years ago, the whole region looked like a dump.
You could tell where the tree stands were before looking up by all the beer cans, some times there were hundreds of them.
Almost all the fences looked like a place to hang all the garbage in the country.
Most every ditch was a place for people to back up to and dump their garbage.
The fire crews are used to picking up garbage when we are out, but after our first pass, we couldn't carry any more, so we quit. :(

In this case Lance and the guys are picking up the "tons" of trash left by Illegal scum trashing the desert....its unbelievable how much they pick up.

apache junction

do any of you go shoot with the drunk machine gunners club out past apache junction.... when we would go shoot on a sunday we would shoot all day then spend a few hours cleaning up everyone elses mess..(as we pick up our brass) before reloading a mag.(has to put that statement because we have a few people (spliting hairs) in here... well anyway it is a nice safe area for people to shoot at if they do not want to go to rio salado.
