Arizona Elk Hunting

My son lives in Arizona and I would like to take him Elk hunting. I have never hunted Arizona, not sure where to hunt. Any ideas?

Arizona is a lottery draw state. Need to wait until February to apply. My favorite unit is 5BS but alot of people here have alot of opinions on their favorite units.

Never hunted AZ, but from what I've heard there really is no "bad" elk unit in the state.

Jim, Several units in AZ have good populations of elk. If you're hunting cow units 3, 4, 5 snf 6 have good populations and a significant number of tags every year. You can check the AZ Game and Fish web site at http://www.azgfd.gov/ around mid January for the regs. Good luck.
