Are raffles real?

I won a various bag of hunting “trinkets” at an RMEF convention - wool socks, deer cover spray, cheap skinning knives, etc. They still had the after-season Walmart sale prices on the items.

Funny story on the gun I won. The guy whose name was pulled after mine had bought about 50% of the tickets. He got to choose between a 22 and a pellet gun. He kinda told me he would pay me to take the 22 so he could have the shotgun I ended up with

I was starting to wonder but believe it or not my buddy called late last night and he has won a Wyoming commissioner tag for elk. He bought one chance and hit the jackpot. Had the choice to hunt elk, deer, or antelope.

So I just got a call and apparently my luck may have changed. I won a Weatherby Vanguard in 6.5PRC from the Nevada chapter of the RMEF. Pretty stoked. They are shipping it to my local Sportsman's Warehouse. Now to start looking for the elusive 6.5PRC ammo.

Won a Harley on one $5 raffle, couple years back I won prize #10 in the spring BHA raffle, YETI loadout at TAC, a long bow at MBA Banquet, a shotgun at WWF Month of Guns…..I’m sure a few more small things.

Interesting, all these on one raffle ticket purchase each, proving one is all you need.

I don’t buy a ton, but I rarely pass up a raffle for a good cause.

Still have yet to win a sheep tag, but I buy Super Tag Raffles, Dream Hunts Raffles, etc, from State agencies in the west. All for a good cause….
