This is a Christmas gift from a wolf hunter to you all. Yes, this is a photo of 13 wolf hides hanging on a rope in this guy’s camp. This photo was taken in late November 2010 in Montana and I think the hunter was working on his own quota system. “Outlaws Consortium United” (OCU) is their non-profit organization. This photo came from a reliable source and is not a PhotoShopped picture. This gives a new meaning to “taking care of business.”

Personally, I call BS, probably taken in BC or something.

they make a pretty good curtain.

Dumb if it is from the states.

Heard Wyoming, Montana and Idaho,,,,all from a realiable source,"a friend of my brother in law"

prolly the same dude who's deer rifle will shoot" 1/4" groups all day long if I do my part.":D

Nice bunch of tanned wolf hides that guy has...probably all shot in AK and Canada.

I doubt that picture as taken in ID, MT, or WY...really doubt it. Anyone that knows anything about habitats or habitat typing, will quickly see that the surrounding trees are all Juniper, and I'm 99% sure also Pinions. Not much pinion in MT, ID, and WY...and not many wolves live in PJ habitats...certainly not enough to shoot 13 of them.

Hoax...but good enough to fool the wolf haters, which doesnt take much.

That is what I was kind of thinking. A guy could re-create that scene in a hurry with bought wolf hides.

Just can't see risking taking the time to skin 13 wolves then bring them to your camp where ANYONE could bomb in there and see them. Get charged with 13 counts of killing wolves. No flipping way. Nobody is that dumb.

And no way someone kills 13 wolves in one hunting season with a rifle. Snaring, trapping, maybe.

The dude on HuntingBC.com piled up 40+, but over months.

I got it too. Let the pro, poaching crew, drink the cool-aid. I'm not thirsty.

On a side note: I can't wait until we get to hunt, and trap them for real. I mean a season that goes through January. In time I guess. I'll need to buy some bigger traps, and thicker snare cable.

BuzzH - Exactly what I was thinking. Guys in my office get pizzed when I start nit-picking and finding fault with this stuff. Those pelts are shure brushed out nicely... If they were trying harder, they would have drug a few through the mud and snow a little, at least make it look a little more authentic.

Idaho has some brazen poachers, but they are for real. This pic is bunk.

Another thing...besides the obvious brushing of the tanned hides...some have the feet in, some not.

Also, not a trace of a stretcher in sight, the hides are too "loose" to be air dried and lack form. Those hides are tanned, not green, not stretched and dried.

I give them credit for being creative...but anyone thats ever put some fur up knows its 100% false.

Maybe he has a Truck with a special Wolf Bumper, drives the roads at night to thin out the population. Like the other jerk mowing down the Deer on his Website...now there was a Tool. John

.

Draht,
Not saying this photo is real, fake, or whatever, but i can absolutely with 100% certainty, tell you that it IS possible for a person to kill 13 wolves in one hunting season in Montana. I could have easily done that this season alone. I in fact saw 13 in one day virtually all in kill range....

Really pissed off that we didn't have the season this year, i would have quite a nice trophy wolf mount at the taxidermist right now:)
