Took a hike last night and heard the sweet sound of bugles in the air! Called in a gorgeous 3.5 year old 7x7 - he will be a stud in a couple years! Almost hit a true monster on the drive out - standing in the middle of the road. Locked em up and slid to a stop not 10 feet from this giant....peed a little. Yep - I'm ready for the chaos to begin!

I saw a ML bull tag pop up on the leftover list for my deer unit in Colorado; I resisted the urge and did not buy it.

I now fully expect to see a monster bull within 50 yards next weekend..

I went out to practice the bugle today and all of the horses took off running....The wife said I sound like a dying bull. Maybe I should change the reed. Practice makes perfect, right?

Wife said today my calling is so bad the horses tried to leave the country. She also said the elk will go into the next county. Well now, today I put a bad bull reed in the call. That with a chaw of redman and I am gonna cause me a bull fight!
