All-inclusive vacations-anyone?

Went to the "Excellence" in Punta Cana 5 years ago. All inclusive, adults only and nightly entertainment. Had a great time and going back this July. Not sure about fishing opportunities, but there were all kinds of add-on excursions you could go on for additional costs.

The Excellence was my only all inclusive vacation. It was nice to have a few Cokes and a few bottles of beer in your fridge everyday. We did do a fishing excursion with another couple and caught a couple of fish.

Kauai (part of Hawaii) is one of my favorite places in the world. Beyond basic resort/beach stuff there is saltwater fishing, hiking and biking. Far less commercial than Oahu or Maui.

Just returned after spending last week in Kauai. I will second the above. We loved it! Did some hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, golfing, beach and pool time and eating. It was a blast. I would go back in a minute. We rented a two bedroom condo with another couple so lodging wasn't bad. Food and drink are kind of pricey so we went to Costco and got supplies then only ate out one meal a day. Booze and beer aren't bad there if someone isn't serving it to you. A week wasn't long enough.

Have been to all inclusives in Jamaica, Mexico and Dominican Republic (Punta Cana). The last two years to Punta. Just got back two weeks ago. Most resorts truly are all inclusive, but tipping seems to be common to the bartenders/wait staff, although not necessary.
Nice to realize 90% plus is all paid up front. Had no problems with food poisoning, but heard rumors of it down there. Place we stayed had 9 restaurants, 10 bars, beach, night club , exercise areas, etc. all on the grounds. Never left the resort. My daughter and her boyfriend went
snorkeling one day, had fun and was safe.
We made it a point to go to a "Adults only'' resort this time, glad we did. Still had a lot of fun but wasn't worried about saying wrong words and such, if it would happen.
Hope you have fun if you decide to go.

Been several times to that area. Every trip has been all inclusive to riu or palace resorts. I can't think of a better vacation to the beach. Let me put it this way my trip to Hawaii this year was a let down compared to this area outside of the sheep hunt that is. Lol

My wife and I went to Excelence Playa Mujeres north of Cancun on our honey moon. I couldn't reccommend it enough. We did not spend a penny once there outside of tipping the waiters. And doing that a couple times meant I never had an empty beer. They have plenty of excursions you can do for 100-200$. I was hoping to do some fishing but no luck. We also went to Dreams Los Cabos this past thanksgiving. I went surf fishing one day, and didn't do much, but the guy regularly posts pictures on insta of stuff he is catching. Check out cabosurfcaster. I think Cabo would be better for fishing opportunity if swimming in the ocean isn't a huge priority.
