Hey guys i am new to this site so first off i would like to say hello and my name is Ryan. This summer me and one of my buddies are going to try to get up to Alaska. We want to try to find a job up there for the summer at a fishing lodge, I know we wouldn't guide or anything like that and we would be doing Bit** work that thats fine i just want to get up there and maybe put a little money in my pocket for college. I am fine with heavy lifting i have experience with boats and heavy equipment(forklifts/bobcats) I have worked on a farm loading bags of feed and hay so i can take a good long days work. If any one has a phone number or an E-mail address of someone i can get a hold of that would be awesome, i want to do this more than any thing in the world.

thanks for reading,
Ryan

Go to website Alaskaoutdoordirectory.com
Go to forums, scroll to botom of page for "helpwanted"
the Kenai peninsula has canneries that hire college students with lots of overtime work available. Do It. Your young (maybe unattached) nows the time to follow your dreams.

I did say if all else fails right. Don't take a cannery job unless you have to. If you do stick to Homer, Kenai, Seward or Cordova. Their processing fleet is more college kids where as Kodiak and Dutch's is more Filipino and foreign. You'd also be working 7-12's so you wouldn't enjoy your stay very much.
