Last week my buddy Tom and I went to Kodiak and did a bit of fishing. Had a great time and managed to fill up the fish box all 3 days...king salmon, halibut, Pollock, black rockfish, pacific cod. Making this thing a yearly trip from here on out, wayyy too much fun to only do every few years:

Every once in a while work takes me to places in Wyoming that aren't too shabby:

Even better when the fish bite, too bad the colors were so washed out:

BuzzH, you just redlined my Cool-O- Meter for the week! That Alaska trip looks over the top and the cutty pics make me want to go for a little hike around here.

I'd spend a lot more time fishing if I lived up there. Looks like a blast.

What an awesome trip.

My brother and I have limited out on Black Rockfish twice this week off the Oregon coast. I had never eaten or caught them before but I have eaten a dozen of them in the last four days.

You are bringing home quite a haul and some pretty awesome freezer options.

Nice pictures of two very different but big-time fun fishing trips. Thanks for posting them.

Kodiak is a great jumping off point for adventures to numerous to list. Great job filling the boat and that was one gorgeous cutthroat.

Man that's a load of fish. Looks like a great trip. Headed to wyoming at the end of September. Hope to catch some trout myself. Thanks for getting me excited.
