Advice & referrals for buying some undeveloped hunting land in Wyoming?

We need to form a HuntTalk land trust and buy one of those $5 million dollar ranches as tenants in common ;)

[I get the irony]
This is actually a great option for a recreational property. I have a co-worker that bought into a hunting property with a bunch of his then co-workers. I believe it started off with 10 of them and they have just under 1000 acres. The way he describes how it all works among them sounds like it works out well.

I cant imagine that working out at all. Good for them if it does though.

Too bad your stuck on plans for a north boundary area.
My neighbors place is for sale and I'm hoping for a good neighbor who does not want to subdivide,etc...
329 ac , 2 wells, small cabin & a barn. Fenced. Elk,antelope, deer.....tags doable. $465k
edited since with currant info

I know of a 2 million dollar one that would get you elk, deer and sheep, about 2 sections.

I was looking at those million dollar properties in the link above. If I took my TSP at age 60 with a annual return of 30% over the next 20 years I could afford the down payment on one.

Odds are better with a lotto tag. Lol

Cheap land is cheap for a reason

I agree - but in this case, it is not so much about the price per acre, it's about the number of acres. There are similar quality properties in an area at $1,000/acre, but one parcel is 40 acres for $40,000 and the other one is 3,000 acres for $3 million. Even if I could afford it, I don't want 3,000 acres.

This one looks like a good buy if you are a successful ambulance chaser that likes to hunt elk.
