A quest to be pseudo-elite

Henry and I decided to give this elitism deal a whirl, so I paid 35 bucks to the Gem State and we hit the road.

My buddy didn't make it out, so it was me solo with Henry as wingman. All photos are on an iPhone 5. Lots of brown ridges, it was 45 and making me sweat on Saturday.

Birds were scarce, but in good condition. Somewhere, one of those ridges has a shit ton of chukar on it.

This was some of the steepest terrain I've ever hunted chukar in. There were a number of chutes I would not have navigated without my climbing gear. Picking routes was challenging.

When I'm done, we throw the bottle of the biggest cliff we can find.
