Well, this is certainly a little late but figured better late than never :D My buddy Zach (Fiver) drew a montana moose tag this year and we got to spend some time on the search for the swamp donkeys! I'm not going to draw out a big story on it unfortunately, mostly due to being tired and lazy;) But it was a fun season looking and the thing that made this hunt so fun was that we had a group of us that spent a ton of time hunting together this fall searching for Zach's moose. We ended up seeing lots of moose throughout the season before Zach finally found one he liked.

A few pics from the season........

Dang it! Did it again.

O well. Here was the group of us with our master chef Levi cooking us of some fresh gator meat from Florida! Levi had just returned from a gator hunt and brought us some camp dinner! Tastes just like chicken:)LOL

Finally, just before the rifle season started, the right bull showed himself and Zach put the hammer down!

And the most awesome part..........Zach decided the best moose was the one that was the farthest from any road in the unit! Ah heck, 3.5 miles is nothing right. The next guy that shoots a moose that far from a road and calls me for help is automatically defriended:)LOL

Never had a problem with photos rotating on me..........dang. O well, you get the jist:)

Congrats to Zach on a fine montana moose!

all the photos are the right way and they look great!! Congrats on an awesome hunt!

Congrats on the moose and the packer.

What a great hunt and great photos, congrats! Still haven't had a chance to go on a moose hunt yet. Keep hoping a friend or I will get a tag. Looks like fun!

Man, you guys saw a lot of moose. What fun! That's a dandy bull. Those last pictures make my back hurt just looking at them.

Beautiful Moose. His fronts look like giant crab claws. I understand your pain on the pack out. When my buddy and I each got drawn for moose a few years back, we agreed to limit our search to within one and a half miles from the road. When my buddy came back with his mooses backstraps I asked him where the rest of the bull was. His response was "Remember where the trail up the canyon forks?" I said, "yes, that is two miles in." He said, "Well, it is about three quarters of a mile past that" Needless to say my hunt stopped and the packing started. If I ever get drawn again for a moose tag, he will be the first one I call, he owes me big time.:D
