Who edited these pictures, a Republican Michael Moore? After two tours in Vietnam I suspect Kerry knows how to handle a gun. Where's that picture of Dubya looking thru the binocs with the lens caps on when we need it?

I'l admit that neither candidate is very inspiring. If fact, they're both about as uninspiring as anyone can get. But, thanks to our strong two party system, that's about all we get to choose from. That's why I'm voting for Nader. He's ten times smarter than Dubya and Kerry put together. :D

Kerry did two tours in Viet Nam???? When??? He spent about 4 monthsthere before getting sent home. Unless you count a cruise on a fleet ship....in which case, the only time he handled a weapon was perhaps as OOD when he may have been issued a .45.

ElkGunner - are you really stupid? Did I ever say Bush did any tours in Viet Nam? DID I??? I was questioning someone else saying the Kerry did 2 tours.

I did 3 tours - how many did you do???? How relevant is that to this discussion of Kerry's service. Quit obfuscating the issue by diverting it to Bush.

Hey Ithaca i saw an interview with R.Nader and he did have some very honest things to say about republicans/democrats and that was both parties are in bed with corporate america and could care less what the masses think! Very True!

LOL Ithica.... Republican Michael Moore, I would think he would be far from it... ;)

Rick, ask gunner an easier question!
What service has he done for this country? ;)

Yes guys, you are on the right track.

Vote for Nador.

Go tell all of your liberal buddies to do the same. Please.

"Kerry did two tours in Viet Nam???? When???" Sorry if that's not accurate. I thought I read it in some article about him (one of the ones about some medals he won).

Did the Republican's ever find somebody who remembers Dubya actually showing up at a Nat'l Guard meeting?

"Hanoi John" did visit Viet Nam waters twice. I wouldn't quite call them tours of duty. The first was from December 1967 to June 1968 on the USS Gridley - no combat exposure what-so-ever. The second visit was from December, 1968 thru January, 1969 on Swift Boat #44 - no medals, and from January 1969 thru March, 1969 on Swift Boat # 94, receiving three purple hearts for superficial wounds (I've had worse on Boy Scout outings), and the Silver Star for finishing off a lone wounded enemy after a full box of ammo from the .50s was emptied into the enemies position. Man, I could give out a washtub of Silver Stars with this criteria!

Whitedeer, "the Silver Star for finishing off a lone wounded enemy after a full box of ammo from the .50s was emptied into the enemies position. Man, I could give out a washtub of Silver Stars with this criteria!" That's not the story being told by his buddies on Ted Koppel's show.

I'm still curious about whether or not anyone ever saw Dubya at a Nat'l Guard meeting? Seems like SOMEBODY should remember him! :D :D

Seriously, I am still curious why service in Vietnam matters one way or the other. Kerry said it didn't in 1992. And, some seem to forget that Dubya is not running on his National Guard service.

Ithaca.....that was the meaning of Elkchasers thread regarding Friday's Federal Review Poll......the media is so slanted to the left that they are only going to get the "Liberal Spin" Ted Koppel is also a candidate for a public caning if we can't pop a cap in his ass on TV. Right, Buzz! ;)

Hangar 18.......Kerry goes back a long way to his association with Adam Walinsky, a member of the Kennedy Mafia PR spinners, and patterned his whole political career on his war and anti-war exploits. A similar spin that the other JFK based his mystic and appeal upon. Poor bastard.....he thinks the whole country is going to swallow this BullShit!

Hey Cali,

Who is obfuscating the issue now? Nope, I didn't do any time in Nam.... For some reason, Nixon wasn't drafting 2 year olds to fight the war...

Did you hear that Dubya had picked the music for his GOP convention? He wanted to pay homage to his time in the military...

(Cue the Banjo....)
I come from Alabama with a Band-Aid on my knee..... :D

Gunner - Please explain to us why Lt. Kerry has his finger on the trigger while not looking at his target. Even my 10 year old knows better than that.
