A good start to 2015

[Nameless Range]

For the first time in 3 years the wife and I made it to midnight, as did our kids which was awesome, because they slept in past 6:00 for once.

I got up, put some whiskey in my coffee and started the year off right, watching Randy shoot a big Montana mule deer on Fresh Tracks. I was on the edge of my seat when he let those bull elk go by.

I shoveled some snow.



Saw some elk in the distance, so I sat on the porch and watched them.




Pictures don't do this guy justice, he's not a big bull, but has a drop tine on his right side. Cool looking elk.



He scratched his back with his antlers a few times.



A knock, on the porch door from inside..."The dishwasher is leaking all over the place!"



A good start to 2015. Happy new year!

This made me laugh. I think I am busting out the whiskey in a few minutes. It is my favorite recovery drink after the gym.

Wonderful start to 2015, except for that dishwasher thing.

No snow here and wildlife not as majestic. After spending all morning with 3 yr old granddaughter (this time is always good) headed to woods for late season deer. After 5 hours in one spot only saw 7 squirrels.
