I had some published info for 135 gr bullets but none for 150's so I called Hodgdon and was told that "you can use our 60% rule with 4895". Which means you can reduce the 4895 loads by 40%! I was interested in this primarily for use in wooded areas where a 100 yd shot would be max range.

So far I have loaded 33 gr. of 4895, fed 215 primer, 150 barnes mrx. I fired two shots just for kicks as I am not overly concerned about the grouping for this load. 50 yd bullet impact was 2" low of aim point and 100 yd was 4" low of aim point. The good thing is that the bullet is on line left and right so I just have to remember to aim a tad high on the 100 yd shots. Recoil and report was so mild I now would not hesitate to put this gun in my 10 yr. olds hands. Also, there were no signs of any bad things going on in the chamber either.

Hopefully this helps someone like me who wants to use one gun when sitting on a food plot or hunting in the deep woods.

Recently loaded some more with 45 gr. of 4895. I can't recall the 50 yd. poi but at 100 yds it was 2" low.
