30-06 Varmint Loads

I guess I should post these in the Varmints section, as that is my intended purpose for this load, plus it is fun, cheap practice.

Rifle is a Marlin MR-7 with a Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14 AO

Brass: Winchester
Powder: IMR 4064
Powder(gr): 54.5
Bullet: 125gr. Sierra Prohunter MOLY
Primer: Fed 215M
COL: 2.484
OAL: 2.72*

*measured with a Stoney Point Tool

Three shots @ 100

6 Shots at 100 yds while moving from 4.5 to 14X for each shot.

Five at 200yds. The two at the top of the pic were shot offhand for practice/funnies.

Good shooting! My Dad and I used a very similar load for years in our .30-06s for jack rabbits in the desert. 125 gr Sierra over 55.0 gr of IMR-4064 - hit many a jack in the head or neck.
