My 30.06 Browning A Bolt has never patterned worth a darn with 180 gr. cartridges. I switched to 165 gr. cartridges, and there was a noticeable difference in accuracy in my experimenting when shooting from a lead sled. I think we'd all agree that a well placed round is far more valuable than a poorly placed round using a heavier grain weight. (Of course a heavy grain weight and placed well is all the better). So, I'll stick with my Hornady SST's till I find something better.
