$25 million to fix the road at Denali National Park

This week, the Department of the Interior announced that $25 million from the passed Infrastructure Bill will be made available to address the Petty Rocks landslide.
The landslide blocked the main road and was due to a warming climate and thawing permafrost.

The EA evaluates construction of several engineered solutions between Mile 44-46 of the Denali Park Road, including the option of building a bridge to span the Pretty Rocks landslide. See the EA online at parkplanning.nps.gov/polychrome.

Management and maintenance of National Park infrastructure should be privatized. Zion National Park here in Utah had a trail closed from 2010 until 2019 until a private non-profit gave the park $1M to fix it. During that decade State of Utah tourism marketing campaign; Mighty 5 increased Zion's visitation 60% including entrance revenue.
