I have a new (to me) Tikka in that caliber. What loads have worked well for you? I realize that accuracy is "rifle-dependent" and what worked for you will not necessarily work in mine, but what powders have given you good results for accuracy and velocity? I will probably stick with 50-55 gr bullets.

Factory 45-gr Winchester USA and 50-gr Remington UMC value pack ammo produced 1/2-inch 3-shot groups, so the gun has promise. It also has real pretty wood.

36.4 gr of IMR 4064, 53 gr Sierra MK, 26" barrel, 3580 fps.--super accurate! always under a half inch

36.0 gr of H4895, 53 gr. Barnes XFB Triple Shock, 26" barrel, 3800 fps--max load--super fast--under an inch but it won't make a half.

I've got friends who swear by Varget. I worked up a load with 36.5 grs (55 gr. bullet)and got 3700 fps--that was a max load using custom bullets, I had to seat the bullet well off the lands to get it to shoot half inch groups.

Sounds like you have a super accurate gun without handloads.

55 grain bullets, 250 CCI Mag primer, and 38 grains of H380 produces 1/2" accuracy in mine.
