great state of Idaho....
I love bragging about my kids…… We had an awesome 3 weekends of fair this year. The extended time frame is pretty nice for showing animals. My daughter showed Horse, Dairy Goat, Pack Goat, and Meat goat. My son showed pack goat and Meat goat. Both did great! My daughter got 2nd in English ground pole’s and English equitation with her horse. Which was a free 25y/o trail horse. She spent a ton of time with her this past year. Dairy goat she did well in. Got reserve best of breed (Alpine) and got a gold ticket to the final round of 6 in showmanship where she places 5th. Pack Goat we had the pretty famous Marc Warnke as the judge. My daughter got her 2nd in a row Grand Champion belt buckle. Meat goat is a bit tougher, quality wasn’t to good, but she got another gold ticket to the final round of showmanship again, I believe she was 8th out of 12 and sold for $850. All in All she did amazing!
My son stepped it up this year and wanted to get his sister in pack goat and nearly did it. He rolled in as reserve grand champion and earned a 4H show jacket. He also earned a gold ticket in his division to go onto the showmanship championship round for Meat goat, he did very well and placed 4th. He sold his goat for $800.
And just like that fair is over. Enjoyed it a lot this year, both are ok’d enough now that I don’t have to tell them to do what they need to do. A lot of hanging out in the shade and people watching 😂

Congrats! Looks like you guys had an awesome time. County fairs are one of my favorite parts of summer. Showing animals teaches kids alot about responsibilities and taking pride in their work.

Nice job!! Reminds me of younger years. My brother and I showed beef and dairy heifers. Lots of fun. Congrats

Very cool man. They look like the did great!
We were there on Thursday supporting some goat and sheep kids. im surprised I didn't see your family.
We also bought a swine headed to Greenleaf meat in the next couple days.
Its so good for the kids in so many ways.

Yeah not sure how we didn’t see each other…. We were at the end of the west bleachers a couple camp chair rows back.
