With starting a new job this fall, I had to stay home and not head west this year. But I made the most of it with a productive season here at home. As a Tennessee resident I have 2 buck tags a year and I punched my last one this morning. I was lucky enough to tag my biggest archery buck to date back on opening day and then this morning finished off with the rifle. The bow buck was a typical 4x4 with 2 kickers on the left base and the rifle buck is a big bodied non typical 6x5 with a palmated paddle for a right side. Both really nice deer for our area and I am fully stocked up on meat. Next up, taking the oldest son back out to try and punch one of his tags and some small game endeavors for the whole family, and maybe even a little fishing also.
