2017 Texas whitetail

This past Sunday was one one of those special mornings I was sitting on a ridge over looking a dry creek bed and mesquite flat with several does being chased all over the place when this buck hit the scene. As soon as he provided a shot I put one through the shoulder and watched him pile up

This is the best buck we have taken off our family property in fisher co.

Very nice. It’s always nice to see one in the daylight and be able to make a connection. I had a few good bucks on camera in October but they seem to have disappeared. I’ll keep checking though.

October is always dead for us we don't start seeing any of our better bucks until November. Now I can really focus in on mule deer over thanksgiving. Saw a dandy of a mule deer buck comming out of the cotton headed into some canyons a few weeks back.
