2016 MT Mule Deer

2016 started off pretty good for me..... P&Y antelope and elk..... bunch of archery whitetail does , archery turkey and a fun trip ending with a nice archery buck from Ohio. I had kind of planned on keeping it all stick an string this year, but when I turned up this guy last night it was time to pull out the rifle.

Easily my biggest mule deer....though I don't know about score with the missing fork in the back.... Definitely happy with him and still have a couple extra archery buck tags to fill this winter.

I saw several good bucks moving yesterday....this wasn't even the one I set out after. If your tag isn't notched yet, I highly recommend getting out in the field ASAP.

Fantastic looking "9 pointer" I haven't even shot a mule deer myself, only tag along with my daughter for hers, but I have an addiction problem with them already! Best wishes on your remaining tags and finding freezer space!
