2016 Montana warm weather elk in November

Hot weather,forgot my camo thong,no fresh elk sign...looking pretty abysmal.Then at 4:00 p.m. I jumped two bulls in the timber.Decided the larger was large enough.

Not sure what to make of this warm weather. Helping my buddy on his late rifle elk in AZ unit 5A at the end of the month and I'm hoping it's not as cold as last year's late rifle was. One day didn't get above 17 degrees. If that doesn't seem all that cold, I'm an AZ native so it's dar near arctic.

I hit elk hard every other year mostly because it takes us two years to eat one.
This year i hit it hard for one day.

I'm in freezer filling mode and I'm a much better fisherman/crabber than elk hunter. The deer are in trouble in 72 hours.
