1,050 Animals Poached in Utah in 2019

Wow! According to the RMEF, Elk Network page (Click Here), 1,050 Utah animals were poached in 2019. Seems like a lot, but you got to know there are some that were not reported or discovered yet.
We need stiffer punishment for poaching in all states!

Yea where are these people coming from? The produce isle at walmart?
There are people with game violations posting daily on this site. Are they not members of this community?
Distance yourself all you want however till hunters start policing their own and ostracizing them with words and actions our silence is complicity

Some of that could be honest hunters that could have shot an extra dove or something like that I’m sure not all are bull elk. I’ve never shot over my limit due to my shooting most of time but stuff happens. Blasting a big game animal completely different but poaching is poaching.

And most hunters are. Then there is the group that are law abiding citizens until hunting season. Then they think it is their right to do any damn thing they want. Harmless crime. And I bet some of those law abiding citizens even complain of some "poaching". mtmuley
