Scope mounting recommendations for Browning X Bolt Long Range
I think that I may be onto the issue. I’ve seen typically prs guns weigh more. 10+lbs my 300prc is 6.9 I believe. The scopes are usually around 1.5lb. The vortex I have weighs 2.6. Thanks here’s pics of what I think the issue may be. I did email Talley as well. I’m not a fan of aluminum mounts. I also have a 300win mag and that actually had the pic rails get chewed up from recoil. Don’t know the make of them tho.- clintonpettit66

I’m curious what cal your using the Talley mount on. I have it on a 300prc and it looks like where the bolts screw down to the gun are bulging out. I have another Talley mount optics planer sent wrong by mistake for long action instead of mag and there is no bulging on that one.- clintonpettit66
