Been a while since an update! So far I’ve got my elk and moose on the wall and will be working on my deer next! The coolest part is my dad is a taxidermist! Good luck to everyone this season.
Well that’s a wrap! I hunted my tail off the end of October and all of November trying to find that 190-200 inch type buck and it was tough considering last winter kill. Shot this buck this morning at 115 yards. What a year! (For all of you dreaming of drawing the super hunt combo, I’d...
I killed an average pronghorn buck 2 days before the end of the season. He’s not worthy of a super tag but I hunted 11 different units for them and it was tough. They had a very high mortality rate last winter and it definitely showed. 3 animals down and and hopefully one big deer to go!

Well 2 of 4! And what an experience for this cool guy. The fog was pretty bad, visibility was 50 yards and this bull was 40 yards! 2 clean shots with the 7mm rem mag did the job. Passed up another pretty nice bull right before we saw this bull.
I’ve been spending 4-6 days in the mountains then come home with the family for 1 or 2 days then back out. I basically took the whole season off of work.
I’ve passed up multiple big bull elk and moose and finally found the bull elk I wanted 2 evenings ago. 80 yards with a muzzleloader. Now on to antelope and moose. Then focus solely on deer. Been an experience that only I had ever dreamed about thus far and it’s just getting going!
Ya I’ve been scouting quite a bit, been seeing a lot of elk and moose. I’m planning on hunting elk all the way through September, moose in late September into October and of course earlier if I see a dandy moose. Antelope in October once I have an elk and moose down and then focus on deer late...
Ya, go Karen somewhere else! Thanks for being so much help. I picture guys like you sitting in their mom’s basement at 45 years old just trying to start arguments with other people.
Hello!
I was fortunate enough to draw the Idaho super hunt combo for 2023. I have a moose, elk, deer and antelope tag for any unit in Idaho. I have ALOT of ground I have to cover, so any tips or suggestions would be awesome! Thanks a million
