    Yep overbore as nhenry says and from what I've what I've gathered, slower powders seem to come into play with a longer barrel/heavy bullet combo. If I find some V170 I may give that a try, it's between H4831 and H1000. I think it's great the older manuals are getting some play.

    25-06 with 110 Hornady ELD-X - Powder suggestion

    For fun I put together 3 rounds with 117 Sierra Game Kings and 56 grains of H1000 which gave ~3000 fps. Too bad #3 was a little high Will look more into this combo too.
