Anytime out in the field with family is a blessing. My son's 15 and he has hunted with since 12, the legal age for taking big game. We prefer archery also which we hunt pretty hard, but will switch to rifle when it's the season.
no worries. I'll have to ask him for other reamers next time. Always wanted a 300 wsm but didn't see the reamer so I had him chamber for the good ole 308 instead.
Totally agree. If the 6.5 bed was available with the crewmax when I bought mine I'd have one. Still can't justify buying a new truck when my '11 still runs like new with 135k miles with zero issues.
I was thinking the same thing. Really surprised it got stuck at 40 yards, but then again, I did recover 1 ttsx shot from a grendel on a blacktail buck. It was also at about 40 yards, slight quartering away. It looked just like the the OP's picture.
I've been using the ttsx in 6.5 for the last two seasons and have been pretty impressed not to mention I HAVE to use them due to regulations here. This year I changed to Cavity Back MKZT's but haven't gotten a chance to put them through any game yet. They are supposed to have a lower expansion...
I know the thread is a little old but did Bison get a 300 wsm reamer or did you have to rent it? I still don't see that reamer on their website. I have used Jim several times. He has great turnaround times.
Nice looking rifle by the way!
