What unit did you put in for? I was out there last year for ten days chasing sheep (saw most everywhere I went) Headed out this year to MT with a general elk tag. I’d be up to share some intel, if you have any intel potentially for Public Land Elk.

Just out of 501 and jumping on a plane this am, went in last Wednesday. Will throw some pics and thoughts on the hunt when I get home. Potentially harvest out of 501 was with a bow I am told. Man that was awesome.

Just packed the bag and looks like coming in around 55-57lbs. Planning on being in till the 19th.
That weather has/is way to stable leading up to the opener. I’m sure Mother Nature will shake things up.

Is there much to any service up high? I can try and add some color from the happenings of the hunt as the days pass. Pouring over maps with a side of Angels Envy on the rocks this evening.
Throwing my hat into the ring this September (501). I use to live in Montana about ten years ago but haven’t been back to Hunt really since. Figured this would be a good way to enjoy sometime in the mountains and fresh air.
