Unit 40 public land is about a 6 pt tag in my opinion. It's currently taking around 15 as a NR. I think 61 is by far the better option for Public land hunters.
I'm about 10 yrs into most everything out west. So no man's land in most. That being said There's a lot of 1% chances on the table and I don't care which one. I love new places and the adventure it brings.
Pretty sure you meant 2020 buck
I thought Taxidermist had to sign some sort of secret pinky promise to never ever ever complete a mount in under 2 yrs.
Great buck and mount though. Congrats!!
When I was younger I had big plans and dreams of grand hunts to go on. Now I've been on a few and its the early simple ones that catch my mind to take me back.
I think my bucket list may get closer to home and family as I go.
Don't get me wrong this year when I cash in my 10 NR sheep points in...
Only kissed one girl.
Been married to her for 26 yrs.
Caught a 60lb catfish by hand.
Hold multiple fixed wing aircraft ratings.
My front yard is an airstrip.
Deceptively treacherous country. My friend found a big whitetail buck on another trip that had fallen in one of the crevasses and was suspended about 10 ft down. Part of it is just piles of house sized boulders.
Sitting here recovering from Covid looking at old photos from hunts gone by.
A few years ago I had an invitation from a good friend to hunt Aoudad in one of the coolest places they roam. I thought I'd post up some pictures.
Just carry the one you'd be most comfortable shooting yourself with if a griz decides to eat you. I read somewhere a guide said the guns not for the bear. Its for me.
