42 isn’t slow. I got 32:34 last year with a pretty light pack - we were hiking to the top that day. But my vo2 max isn’t likely to get much better with age!- Deckerp

Can’t wait to give it a go! I’ll try to get an early training cycle time in soon and then a comparison/fast time in at the end of summer. I like the light and heavy pack versions. #20/60 sounds good. (Wish I was a 250lb Viking of a man to make my pack feel lighter but it is what it is).- Deckerp

Long term hunt planning
As a Colorado resident, at this point in my life (2 youngish kids), the in-state annual opportunities generally exceed my time opportunities. As such I have yet to start looking seriously to out of state tags and building points - especially with the cost discrepancies in resident v non res tags...- Deckerp
