Heck if I know....It was my 1st time ever in Wyoming and/or chasing antelope so I have no frame of reference. For our part, we saw enough targets to pursue, but both agreed that the decrease to 250 tags from 1000+ definitely helped keep the opportunity/pressure ratio at a comfortable level... -

Part 2… With my buck quartered, packed-out and on ice, we broke camp and hit the road to look for my dad’s buck. We marked a few prospects either deep into public, or on private adjacent lands thinking it would give us a start for the following morning, but around 5 we came to a pair of bucks... -

I didn't want to muck up the other thread re: unit 7, so here we are. This was the first and quite possibly last western big-game hunt I've ever taken with my father, so we went in fully prepared to fill our "Any antelope" tags with any legal antelope. We'd also only ever seen less than a dozen... -

What Old/Odd Chamberings Have You Actually Used To Kill Big Game Animals ?
I killed a few whitetail doe with an old Mosin Nagant M44 in 7.62x54r with 200gr soft points. It did the job well enough that I didn't ever need to deploy the bayonet. -

A Tale of Two Friction Knots: Taut Line vs. Blake’s Hitch
Always good to keep some knots, bends, and hitches in the memory hole. For my money, I prefer the Adjustable Grip Hitch to the tautline. I use it exclusively on guyouts and ridgelines for hammocking and tarp use.- Fishdart

Any Pudelpointer guys here?
Owner of a 4 year old Pudelpointer here. Only gundog I've ever had but I'm sold on the breed. Great family dog, goofy as hell sometimes, mischevious when bored, hunts hard and can be chill at home.
