FHF Range Finder Pocket Issue Help

Hello everyone, Was wondering if anyone else ran in to a similar problem and have any solutions that do not cost $$. My FHF bino harness is great! The range finder pouch loop, however, is way larger than the strap/buckle it affixes too. This results in the tilting forward of range finder pocket...

    Spot hogg fast eddie

I have a had fast eddie double single pin setup for the past 3 years and love it! I had a 5 pin prior, but when I got buck fever the sight picture was so much smaller I just didnt like it and decreased my accuracy (more things to focus on as opposed to the single/double pin). When it comes to...

Good call on the cows. Clearly I made a mistake as I saw some grazing cows and moved away figuring they competed with the deer.. I will ahve to rethink this now because thats a great point.

    Back Pack Meals (Military MREs)

New to hunting, but been backpacking my entire life. I have started to make my own full meals by dehydrating. End up with lighter weight meals compared to an MRE and great taste if you spruce it up with some good recipes and powders (powderes butter, seasoning packets, etc). Plus, many of them...

    Gauze or No Gauze

I always carry gauze and some shrunk towels in a micro tube. They weight nothing, but when exposed to liquid or water they swell up and can be rung out for repeated use etc. Really handy and both together weight next to nothing!

Poll: Would you shoot a doe with a fawn?

Nope, I would not. Even though where I hunted whitetail deer were everywhere and def over populated. I wouldnt judge anyone who did. Just not for me, would probably keep me up at night feeling guilty for that little fawn lol

Southern NM near Florida Mountains Advice

Update: Went out and put some hours behind the glass. Saw one other group of hunters and that was about it. Saw more snakes than deer (5 vs 0). ISSUE: I hiked to 4 different water sources, all of them were dry with no signs of recent use. I did see a water line running through the desert...

    Tires....again.

2nd the K02 on my Tacoma, I tried coopers and liked them, but my BFG K02 have been great in Snow, Icr, Mud, Dirt, and HWY. Have lasted about 65k at the moment (after this season they will be replaced). Worth the money for how much we rely on them. I also have a Dewalt air compressor/jump starter...

Thanks for the advice! Been trying to find some watering holes on the maps with too much luck. Going to just have to hike and glass for deer as well as water now =) Luckily this is the rainy season it appears, hoping that some natural watering holes pop up.
