With it twisted properly, the only thing that isn’t modern about the .22-250 is the case. Scorch the perfectly good barrel and do something different with the next one. #1 for me with these options.
I don’t think there is much you cant catch in a 1.5 coil spring. But time in the trap and how it’s staked is going to play a big factor in holding it. That said, no experience with the Duke 1.5, but I can’t think a groundhog is going to test any trap that size all that bad.
