Anyone ever use a table saw to cut arrows?

It was just a guess as to what it actually costs. I’m out of the loop how many Bitcoins does it cost now?

Anyone ever use a table saw to cut arrows?

I’m not proud of this duct tape jig, but it did work. Most of the cuts were reasonably square but still required a couple minutes on the squaring tool. I think a proper jig is in order for the next batch of arrows. Or pay the $.25 per arrow to have them cut.

Anyone ever use a table saw to cut arrows?

Well after some more research I found a photo of a guy with half a cut off wheel sticking out of his face. I think I’ll forgo that route. I’m going to build a jig to hold my dremel tool in the miter slot of the table saw. If I square the dremel blade to the miter slot then I can still use my...

Anyone ever use a table saw to cut arrows?

Yeah like one that’s used on an angle grinder. It feels like a borderline bad idea but would be very convenient.

Anyone ever use a table saw to cut arrows?

I have some carbon arrows coming that I need to cut. I usually use my demel tool and just use some scraps to make a quick jig. They don’t come out super square and I spend a good bit of time on the squaring tool. I was planning on making a dedicated jig, but I realized that I already have a...

    Woodworking Hunt Talkers?

Nope I broke out the biscuit jointer to assemble it which worked out really well. I just brad nailed and glued it to attach it. I used hard maple since so it would hold up to more abuse then poplar.

    Woodworking Hunt Talkers?

Just finished up 1/3 of this built in. So far it’s been a lot of fun and I got to learn some new techniques. I was surprised how solid the carcass was by using dados and rabbets. I also learned that walls are not square and caulk is my friend. There will eventually be a matching upper and I will...

Do any American Boomers here remember the quality lawn mowers of old?

You anti-lawn commies take your prairie yard rhetoric to the depths of Reddit! Everyone in my neighborhood gossips about my lawn stripes and it makes me feel better inside. I’m not a complete monster though, I plant a pollinator garden.

    Woodworking Hunt Talkers?

Anyone have any recommendations for a mid level table saw? I have 110v, and my job site kobalt saw is a nightmare. Nothing is square and the throat is warped causing stock to get hung up. I’d like to go the hybrid cabinet saw route. I was saving up for a saw stop, but that fund got pilfered for...

    Woodworking Hunt Talkers?

This was my first “real” project that I made when we were expecting our first child. It was a big hit with the wife. I used a set of plans and milled it from rough lumber.

    Don’t torch your spot

Someone mentioned GPS coordinates being recorded in your photo information. I had no clue, to remedy this is it as easy as turning off your location services, or is it more in depth?

First Lite Solitude Mens XL Vest for sale. I’ve tried it on a couple times, but never wore it in the field. I tried to like it but I’m not a vest guy. This is the previous version and not the current offering. $125 + $10 to ship.

Why I change my own oil

I managed to drain all 7 quarts of my truck oil right onto the street a few months ago. The fancy new oil pan I bought for the occasion apparently had a two stage plug, unscrew AND pull. Worry quickly turned to panic as the pan filled up. When it crested the rim I did the only logical thing and...

    Ukraine / Russia

I’ve followed this thread for the past few days and have read through most of it. I appreciate the different views and information many have posted. It looks like this is only on one rail for the time being, but hopefully gets back on track... Regardless of your thoughts politically, one thing...

    New Men’s mountain clothing line

I’m gonna have to pass on the rompers in the right hand column. Some of us don’t have precious seconds to waste getting our torso out of the top half before dropping heat. My backpack hunt would be over before it started.

    Tree Saddles. Thoughts, Tips, Stories?

I’ve been having that problem with the daisy chains on my sticks. It lightens the load not having cam buckles but I waste a ton of time trying to get them set. They never line up correctly and if it’s too loose I don’t trust it not to kick out. I think I may go back to cam buckles just so I can...

    Tree Saddles. Thoughts, Tips, Stories?

Well it was amateur hour this morning climbing the tree. I clanked every peice of gear that was capable of making a noise, tangled my bow rope around myself and then left my release at the base of the tree. I think I’m just going to do two trips up. Too many things strapped to myself getting...

    Tree Saddles. Thoughts, Tips, Stories?

I use a metcalf as well without the lid and have been busted several times by it hanging off the tree. Dunno why I never thought of using just the lid in the tree. Great idea.
