We had planned on hunting 5 days but filled our tags on the 2nd day. Then fished. We applied as a party and had 1 point between the three of us. Easy to draw unit. Lots of pressure but also lots of animals. We just went where nobody else would go.
Overjoyed by our opening morning double header. Hiked in super deep and shot these two 3 minutes apart. 2 bullets and 2 bulls.
Then I got my first Muley on day 5. Only deer we saw all week and he’s perfect. I’m tagged out for the year! 1 spring bear, 2 pronghorn, 1 elk and 1 Muley. Thanks for...
They got up to 65 Mph. It’s basically a brand new Sierra Designs 4 season tent. Could have been the table that broke the poles but I don’t know. First time shooting in 30+ mph wind at 330 yds.
We battled some serious wind and weather, tons of hunting pressure, and post-rut spooky pronghorn. But finally got it done on day 4 in 705. Came back to a destroyed tent and had to drive back to SW Montana at night. Definitely a memorable trip.
3 bucks in a day and a half. Put in 16 miles of hiking day 1 and 12 miles day 2. It was a circus out there but we got it done!
we even had time to get some fishing in! One of the best trips to date.
I grew up in Northern Michigan in Iosco County. I grew up hunting public in the Huron National Forest. But it was always really difficult. My dad purchased land in the thumb about 6 years ago and this was my first time hunting it. Not sure what county it is to be honest.
Just wanted to show off my 2019 Michigan whitetail. I traveled to Michigan (where I grew up) from Montana to hunt with my brother, dad, and grandfather. It would probably be the last time I got to hunt with my Papa. I was able to get a nice buck opening morning and then film my brother getting...
sorry I never responded. I fell of the site for awhile. I ended up getting out a decent amount last fallwith a buddy but didn’t get an elk. Hope you were successful!
Hey all. This was my first time hunting bears after moving to Montana in early 2019. My friend and I hunted pretty hard and tagged out. His was an early season surprise bear that we walked up on at 75 yds.
Mine was after hunting a new spot. First time there was figuring out the landscape but no...
My wife and I moved to Bozeman with our 3 year old daughter in March. We have a second little one on the way. I just got back from an Antelope hunt in Wyoming and I'm hunting Whitetail opener in Michigan Nov.14-19. I'm looking to fill in some hunting days around those dates. Would love to...
