Heard from the game warden one of the rams taken in the closing unit needed 4 people to make sure it was legal to close for each of them to make a decision on their own.
Has any non resident even seen a tag on the website this year since the change to being only able to pick up non resident tags. I am very diligent in watching and i have yet to even see one.
Snuck in this last week for a 30 hour scouting trip for next year and it did not disappoint 24 sheep 3 legal rams, 3 banana heads, and 18 ewes and lambs. Also saw 5 goats, 50 elk, 4 mule deer. animals were looking good!
I currently have a lei-old vx5HD 3-15x56 duplex. I love the scope i just wish it had some sort of either windage dial or windage marks on the retical. I want to be able to dial out to 1000 yards on my ballistic turret so i can practice out that far. Does anyone know of a scope that will do that...
Last year i bought a tarp last minute from Walmart that was bulky and heavy but was one of the best pieces of gear i brought. Just wondering if anyone has an option that is waterproof and light weight. I used it has a mat in my vestibule and as a cover in the rain during lunch. Thanks in advance.
Has anyone tried to get their tag via application yet this year so they don't have to front the whole amount? i Just tried to do it and still retain my bonus points but i can't find any option where to apply without using my bonus points.

I got my rifle the thing is unbelievable can make 1000 yard shots no problem and i have never shot well past 300. i can hit a 10 inch plate at 1000. it is everything i wanted in a rifle. it preformed flawlessly on 2 hunts already.
Congrats Brodie and TX Mountain Hunter on your rams I was also in 501 and found a legal ram on Sunday before opener but just could not keep him pinned down until Thursday also saw one other borderline ram and 2 ewes. It was an amazing time and can't wait to go back in next year.
SO hypothetically if you killed a ram in 501 you are best bringing the cape and head to the region 5 headquarters in billings to show to the biologist and get it plugged? Who would you contact if you want them to meet you at the trail head to check it in?
What is once piece of gear that you cannot live without having in the unlimited or one tactic that you have to do every time you step into there. Headed in in a month from tomorrow!!!
