A little off topic here but I never once thought of going mountain lion hunting, but after hearing/reading/watching all things mountain lions, it kind of sparked my interest for them. Maybe a lion hunt will be a graduation present I give to myself (once grad school is complete)
Who has had success hunting whitetails on rainy days? It's been dry as a bone here for a while, I've finally been seeing buck signs slowly start to pop up. Hoping this cold front and potentially the rut kicking off will make some deer move. The days I have allocated solely to deer hunting look...
I spent a few years in the horse world in college. Those things are f***ing stupid and 99% of them should be dog food, yet everyone in the country has an irrational attraction to them.

Be sure to bring some good snacks and toilet paper. Take lots of pictures
If you want to go on a backpacking trip, go find a granola girl at REI and walk around the mountains for a few days.
If you want to kill elk, be ready to ditch the spot you hiked into, in order to go back in the truck, drive to a completely different area and try again. You seem stubborn...
I work in agriculture. I have crossed the Canadian border almost a dozen times this summer on account of my job. Don't get me started on how much they check for mud.
