Iowa early smoke pole 2016

Don't overlook CA for big bear
A much younger me took this bear in N CA 1987. Since then I have taken a dozen more all spot and stalk (passed up many times that number). 2/3 have been over 300lbs, another pushing 500lbs and this bruin was an honest to goodness 600 pounder verified by CF&G. Trying to make the shift to DIY!
Joe, I have been deer hunting N CA for 37 years now on public land. I will say it's getting harder and harder as the deer herds are not what they used to be and nice 20"+ bucks are much harder to find than they used to be. On the other hand the bear population is estimated to have grown 400%...- crazyoldguy
